*Contact Dr. Friedman-Gell at 310-570-0060 *Through a collaborative process, we can explore who you think you are and who you'd like to be, and discover together what may interfere with you moving forward into a more abundant and expansive life. *Therapy allows you an opportunity to live more fully in the present, and make real time choices, rather than live in habitual patterns, that though adaptive at one time now limit our possibilities. It can help you to learn how to resolve conflicts, heal past trauma, and create more satisfying relationships! I begin with the hope of creating a safe and nurturing connection as the foundation of our work together. My post licensure trainings have been in psychobiological, somatic, based therapies. This allows me to support my client's growth towards integration of mind, body, emotion, spirit, and right-brain, sensory and left- brain dynamics. With attunement and integration, using psychobiological, psychodynamic, and somatic mindfulness based technique, clients can begin to move toward self-regulation, c-regulation, connection & health. I work in the present moment, in the here and now and explore with my patients how present day feelings, thoughts and sensations, most often have their roots in early life relational trauma and continue to color life experiences today. |
*You may find yourself overwhelmed by life's changes and transitions; living with emotional pain that you cannot recover from; feel that past mistakes keep repeating; find that drugs and alcohol have become the way you cope with life; or may be suffering from depressive episodes or periods of anxiety and unable to experience your aliveness and energy. *Contact Dr. Friedman-Gell at 310-570-0060
My expertise includes treatment of developmental, relational, and attachment trauma and dual-diagnosis issues. I specialize in working with adults and teens suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, alcoholism, substance abuse and those who use sabotaging behaviors to mask emotional pain. With curiosity, empathy and attunement we work towards empowering a more fulfilling and meaningful life. *By helping you explore how you have formulated your identification of self and your internal dynamics, you may be able to achieve a greater capacity for choices, for life, for experiences toward a healthy resonance with life and love. I collaborate with clients helping them understand how their approach to living was created as a strategy to succeed, but has now become a limitation preventing healthy connections to oneself and others. Treatment focus is on strengths and helping clients experience a sense of empowerment and joy in their lives and movement towards integration of body, mind, and spirit. *I am certified in Attachment Focused - EMDR and Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM), a blending of somatic, mindfulness and psychodynamic therapies. I am also participating in ongoing trainings in several cutting edge trauma informed modalities such as Interpersonal Neurobiology (Allan Schore), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Pat Ogden) and Neuroaffective Touch Training (Aline LaPierre).
